STARTING A NEW PP AND PE FILM PRODUCTION USING INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY IN “ELA”

Project Description:

The project is to implement our own new innovative technology of polyethylene and polypropylene with a simultaneous use of bioactive substances in the form of powder, together with open – close technology, which has not been used around the world for more than five years. After the implementation of this technology, “ELA” will start production new products, which will include: laminates containing bioactive additives, laminates containing bioactive additives and open – close foil, wicket bags for packing vegetables / fruit based on film of bioactive substances , biocidal perforated film for automatic packaging of potatoes, open – close foil lamination, innovative high-quality products will appear to protect packaged foods against the biggest health threat – microorganisms. Products used for packaging bulk goods will appear, especially foods that meet the requirements of high safety of packaged products and consumer expectations.

The new technology of packaging production implemented in ELA will (due to bioactive substances) provide an effective protection against proliferation of microorganisms in packaged foods. Bioactive substances have biocidal properties and faster prevent the development of microflora, which causes the spoilage of packaged food products. This will result in an increase in mechanical, barrier, processing, biological and utility properties of the film, and the open – close system will also extend the freshness of packaged foods.

Implementation of the project in the period 15.07.2013 to 30.09.2014.
